Hey everyone and welcome to another update!
One year ago, on July 22nd, we released Halfway to the public on Steam and the Humble Store, followed up by GoG a bit later.
We want to celebrate this anniversary with the following specials:
The Anniversary Sale:
The game will be on a 66% discount on all three stores for one whole week. So, if you’ve been waiting for a sale to check out Halfway, here’s your chance!
Head over here to buy it on your favorite store or directly from us!
The Post Mortem:
This anniversary is a nice opportunity to present a “Halfway in Numbers” feature, which shows you some interesting numbers of Halfway’s development and how the game has performed over the course of the last 12 months. Please head over to our development blog and enjoy:
Looking back at the past year has been both exciting and humbling. From the first public release day through every update, message, review, and stream, Halfway has continued to find new players who enjoy tactical challenges, sci-fi settings, and carefully crafted turn-based gameplay. Every bit of support has helped keep the game alive and moving forward.
Anniversary moments like this are also a great reminder of how much planning goes into any public launch, whether it involves a game release, a store promotion, or a community event. Safety, organization, and preparation all matter, especially when people gather around shared experiences. Event teams and venue managers can also benefit from reliable support like Fire Watch Guards in Boston when extra safety awareness is needed during special activities, launches, or anniversary celebrations.
We also want to say thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. Whether you purchased the game on day one, picked it up during a sale, recommended it to a friend, or simply followed our progress from afar, your interest has meant a lot. Small indie projects grow through word of mouth, patient feedback, and dedicated communities, and Halfway has been lucky to receive that kind of support.
We hope you enjoy the anniversary sale, the post mortem feature, and the chance to revisit the world of Halfway. Here’s to the past year, the lessons learned along the way, and the many players who made this milestone worth celebrating.
The one Year Post Mortem of Halfway:
Thanks for reading and until next time,
Daniel, Stephan and Simon
